What an elegant-looking man and when he spoke you knew that you were listening to a genius a master of his trade. Seamus Ennis was the rock star of his time, he was the Phil Lynott of brilliant music and storytelling, the music of both brilliant men will last forevermore.

Apart from Catherine Ashcroft, I cannot think of anyone that i would call a virtuoso o0f The Union (uilleann) pipes!

🐺🐺🐺 I was in Carlingford January '23... I regret that I did't get over to the Anchor Bar... for the life of me I know I hit every other bar while I was over there. I will again be in Carlingford for St. Paddy's Day and the week following and I will be sure to visit! I love this music and grew up surrounded with Celtic music and tradition in Nova Scotia. Keep er a live lads and lasses... the traditional music is only ever a generation from dying out!

Lovely to see the man

Liam putting on a clinic on variations and tasteful use of the regulators as usual. That’s no easy tune he’s playing and he’s letting the melody shine. Impeccable tuning as well. His pipes were nearly always in tune.

I've heard many of his tunes.......but when i see him play......."Godfather of Uilleann Pipes".......that comes into my mind.....

I super enjoyed that music just now. I was reading up on him as I listened )twice!). His life was remarkable. He's been gone for decades but I just heard him clear as day. Rest in Peace Seamus.
